Magna Doodle

Insight ran a slightly under-the-radar contest last month and now we have some winners to announce.

The doodle contest was announced in a Sioux Empire Community Theatre playbook ad and on this blog. Entries were submitted to Insight and our panel of judges has selected not one, but two winners. Their work can be seen at Art Circulator.

Congratulations to Courtney Boone, Foreign Candy Company brand manager. Her doodle description reads:

    I doodle, I do said Curly-Que
    As she pledged to wed the Loopty-Loo
    I'll go curling ans swirling and twirling with you
    For doodling is, as doodlers do.

Appropriate, Courtney lives on Circle Drive in Sibley, Iowa.

Our other winner is Brian Hauge of Fenstalker Studios in Lennox, SD, part of a local band of sasquatches. He claims his "Christmas Sasquatch" is a very jovial creature, but I hope I don't run into one in the woods any time soon.

Both winners receive a pair of tickets to Neil Simon's Plaza Suite which starts at the Sioux Empire Community Theatre on February 13, 2009.
